"There are so many tools out there to make our lives safer and more convenient. Yet, when it comes to supporting vulnerable people, the process is often expensive, complex, and lacks transparency," says CEO George Robinson. "After 10 years as a Barrister, I found arranging care for my loved ones incredibly challenging. Too many people in the UK are struggling without the support they need, and this must change." At Gladys, we recognise that chronic care staff shortages are fueled by poor pay, lack of flexibility, and the unequal burden of care responsibilities, often falling on women. Our goal is to demystify the process of finding help while ensuring fair treatment for those providing care. We offer services at a reasonable price and support carers to receive a fair income for their essential work. The flaws in our current social care system caused so much pain that I felt compelled to make a difference. Co-founding Gladys was my way of turning empathy into action. By simplifying the process and fostering genuine connections, we’re improving lives and providing carers with the support they deserve.”
